Syllabus:Aims to equip students with the necessary ICT skills and expose them to the available learning technologies that will assist them in their study life in the University and later on in their work. The two main foci of study are the acquisition of ICT skills and the integration of such skills in accessing, retrieving, analysing, evaluating and presenting information for the purpose of completing academic assignments.
 
Unit Outcomes: Upon successful completion of this unit students should have - Understood the fundamentals of computer organization, Internet and World Wide Web (WWW) and Multimedia. Be able to apply word processing, spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentation applicationsto create documents and make presentations. Be familiar with the terminologies used in ICT at the degree level. Be aware of the ethical issues related to the use of computer and the internet. Be able to work in groups to identify and solve problems.
