Syllabus:An opportunity to undertake a placement in a heritage institution which suits their special interests. It involves twenty days work experience as a junior professional, with an opportunity to observe and understand the professional responsibilities of senior colleagues. A reflective essay will be required from the student at the end of the placement.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Gained experience as working as a professional in an aspect of the heritage industry. Completed a specific project as directed by the practicum under professional supervision. The ability to reflect on his or her practicum in the light of theory and practice studied in the prerequisite units.
