Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have - Become familiar with the recent historical development of the international economy. An awareness of current trends and emerging issues in the international economy. A good understanding of economic theory as it relates to economic growth, international trade, international financial flows and international commerce generally. Ability to analyse and assess policy issues related to a country's international trade relations. An enhanced appreciation of the international financial and economic institutions that are important in shaping the international business environment in which firms operate.
