Syllabus:Quantitative and qualitative theory and practice. The genesis of qualitative research from social sciences to medical anthropology. Overview of the scientific research processes - the complimentary use of qualitative and quantities methods. Developing objectives and hypothesis. Study design, planning and sampling in qualitative and quantities research.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to demonstrate essential knowledge in - Practical applicability in qualitative and quantitative research methods. Processes of planning, sampling and data analysis in qualitative and quantitative studies. Design of research instruments for in qualitative and quantitative data. Application of research designs ranging from experimental to non experimental.
