Syllabus:Advanced study of ICD-10-AM. Introduction of disease classification concepts for use with ICD-9-CM. Extraction of information from health records for coding and diagnosis related group purposes.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Displayed skills required to resolve complex coding problems using ICD-10-AM and described the purpose and applications of casemix measures. The ability to competently abstract information from health records for clinical classification and casemix purposes.
