Syllabus:	The Internet has always been presented as a technology of the future. Exploration of the interrelationship of the past, present and future of the Internet, as imagined and conceived by visionaries and tinkers, and explore the way that fictions and cultural metaphors of the Internet play a central role in its socio-technological development.
Unit Outcomes:	On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Learnt how current views and understandings of the Internet have been influenced by key critics and thinkers in the area. Understood how current socio-cultural visions and images of the Internet have been constructed through popular media. Been able to contribute to ongoing professional debate about future development and potential of the Internet. Used Critical understanding of both popular and professional predictions for the Internet to effectively engage with ongoing developments in ICTS.
