Syllabus:Experience in the use and critique of ergonomics methods commonly used in the application of ergonomics. Practical tools such as task analysis, user trial, survey, biomechanical modelling, "Wizard of Oz" simulation will be used by students. Exploration of the practice of ergonomics in Australia and internationally and reviews professional issues such as competency standards and course accreditation.
 
Unit Outcomes: The primary aim of this unit is to provide competency in the application of ergonomics. Describe the options for the application of ergonomics. Critique common ergonomics methods. Use common ergonomics methods. Critique typical cases of ergonomics practice. Discuss national and international competencies in ergonomics.
