Syllabus:Structure of national and international industry, market assessment, project management, production planning and cost control, financial resources and management. Introduction to industrial relations - safety and health, safety auditing, equal employment legislation, working with others. Energy resources and fuels, policies and technology for energy economy, application of pinch technology for the efficient use of energy in process plants, ecology and environment, environmental law and impact statements, emission control, wastewater treatment, solid and hazardous wastes treatment and disposal.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will understand the basic concepts of process economics and project management, economic aspects of process technology development and application.
