Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit, students will be able to - Describe and understand the key factors that influence cut flower and potted plant consumption. Describe and discuss the major factors influencing the marketable yield of flower crops and potted plants. Describe each of the major cut flower crops and potted plant groups. Describe and discuss the major variables influencing the intensive production of potted flower and potted plants. Describe and discuss alternative systems of plant propagation. Describe and discuss various alternative potted plant production systems. Demonstrate critical thinking through individual study and tutorial discussions. Demonstrate written and oral communication skills through written assignments (projects) (timely, clear, concise, accurate, relevant). Demonstrate an ability to locate, evaluate, manage and use information. |
