Syllabus:

Through individual supervision, and in relation to the proposal developed in Unit 602, conduct a research project feasible in the time-frame and disseminate the results finding in a professionally written format.

Unit Outcomes:

This unit follows the Research Proposal Preparation 602 unit where a research proposal was developed. The Project Dissertation 610 unit builds on this through implementation of a research project closely related to the proposal developed in 602. On successful completion of this unit students will have- Conducted a small scale research project under the supervision of a member of the academic staff. Examples of feasible projects include but are not limited to inter/intra-rater reliability studies, systematic review, single subject design study, retrospective chart audit, secondary analysis of data. Obtained ethical approval for the project where appropriate and complied with the requirements. Undertaken data collection/analysis as relevant to the researchproject. Drawn conclusions and made recommendations based on the results. Disseminated results in a professional, written format.
