Syllabus:Environmental health. The role of government authorities/agencies in environmental health. Sources and types of air and water pollution. Management principles of solid and liquid waste disposal, and control strategies for environmental protection. Ethics and social responsibilities for environmental health issues.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will - Be familiar with a range of common environmental health issues. Understand the causes of these issues. Be familiar with their management. Understand the role of Government at various levels in managing environmental health.
