Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Describe key aspects of accident prevention. Carry out an accident investigation. Utilise basic techniques involved in health and safety auditing. Evaluate hazards related to transport and storage of hazardous materials. Apply the basic requirements of industrial ventilation. Select occupational health and safety training. Describe the principles of radiation safety. Demonstrate a critical approach to the role of personal protection and thedegree of protection provided. Identify and apply the current legislation, standards and codes relevant to the management and control of health and safety. |
