Syllabus: | Further development of screen skills and application of techniques for creating more complex and evolving character, narrative and dramatic structures through cooperative interaction between writers, directors and actors in the script writing process. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated an ability to use standard script forms. A deeper understanding of short film form and the short film screenwriting process. Developed an understanding of the theory and practice of writing original and creative scripts in the drama genre. An analytical understanding of how the development of a script can benefit from the creative interaction of writers, directors, and actors. Demonstrated application of these insights in the development of their own scripts. Made a substantial contribution to the planning, research, pitching, writing and development of a script. A professional ability to work in groups. A professional approach to project and time management. Participated in the exercises and completion of the assignments associated these projects. Skills in project preparation and presentation, including skills in planning, pitching, research, writing, accepting and acting on feedback. |
