Surveys for open cut and underground mines. Automated survey instruments. Errors and survey adjustments. Computerised processing of survey data. Mine maps. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Acquired the basic understanding and surveying skills e.g. measuring of distances, turning of angles and levelling. The ability to perform survey calculations e.g. coordinate, area and volume calculations. An understanding of the mining coordinate and mapping systems. |
