Syllabus:An exploration of the historical development of feminism in selected European and non - European countries and the relationship between feminism, imperialism and nationalism. Introduction to the concepts and terminology employed in feminist history and development of skills in applying these concepts and terminology to actual historical materials and situations.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have - Understood the historical development of feminism. An understanding of the concepts and terminology employed in feminist history. Developed skills in analysing historical documents and applying concepts andterminology of feminist history to actual historical situations. Developed written and spoken communication skills. Developed research skills.
