Syllabus:Reviews the various tools and techniques used for analysing a farm business. Includes identifying business and family goals, understanding the base recourses of the business, potential, water use, efficiency, comparative and trend analysis, profit drivers, control systems and financial analysis.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have prepared reports that constructively and competently analyse management of individual livestock and cropping enterprises and the principal components of a farm business. Demonstrated the ability to develop and apply simple but effective Excel 5.0 spreadsheets for the analysis an budgets required for the unit. Demonstrated the ability to write independent, clear, readable and informative reports and assignments.
