Syllabus: | The research project includes a review of the literature, generation of research hypothesis, design of experiments, analysis and evaluation of results and preparation of a scientific paper. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Review and critique the scientific literature specific to research hypothesis under investigation. Design and plan a series of experiments to test the research hypothesis. Demonstrate proficiency in research methodologies used including general laboratory skills and operation of analytical equipment. Analyse and evaluate data from experiments conducted. Generate a scientific report and give an oral presentation of research undertaken. |
