Prerequisite(s):10084 (v.6) Film and Television 212 - The Tradition of the Documentary or any previous version
Syllabus:Introduction to the requirements of non-fiction scriptwriting, exploring through both individual and group work the theoretical and practical aspects of the scripting process including research, planning, pitching and writing a script for a half-hour documentary.
 
Unit Outcomes: On completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated a competence in the skills of writing for documentary. Contributed substantially and practically to the planning, research, pitching, writing and development of a script for a short documentary. Improved their ability to work in groups, where appropriate. Improved their ability to manage and complete projects on time. Completed each of the assignments associated with these projects. Improved their skills in project preparation and presentation,including skills in planning, research, writing, accepting and acting on feedback. Worked at a level consistent with graduate enrolment.
