Syllabus:Community agency purpose - mission statement, philosophy, goals and operation. Staff management - meetings, CV and preparing for an interview, interviewing others, performance appraisal and Equal Opportunity. Budget - preparing a budget, use of various types of budgets, budget review and auditing.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Documented the mission statement, philosophy and goals of an indigenous local agency. Described the staff management principles within an indigenous management context. Explained the major section of a budget plan. Analysed the advantages and disadvantages of various types of budgets. Prepared a program zero-based budget for a new initiative in an indigenous agency. Described the auditing process and its necessity in financial management.
