Syllabus: | Each student will be assigned an individual research topic and a research supervisor. Workshop topics include - library resource utilisation, literature review techniques and public speaking. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have developed the ability to conduct a practical research program. Critically analysed data to reach scientifically sound conclusions. Mapped out future work and to relate the relevance of the findings to metallurgic practice. |
