Syllabus:Introduction to engineering noise control. The wave equation, sound intensity vector, sound pressure and sound power concepts. Sound propagation, attenuation, transmission loss, sound absorption, sound barriers, enclosures.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have gained an introductory understanding of the Engineering principles of Noise Control in an industrial environment.
