Unit Outcomes: | On completion of this unit, students will have - Demonstrated practical hands-on skills in the setting up and use of a fully integrated accounting software package that is currently used in commerce. Described the principles of accounting software selection. Explained the strategic issues and risks associated with accounting software acquisition and IT investments. Displayed an understanding of both current and future trends in the accounting software market. Demonstrated an understanding of the systems development life cycle and the accountant's role in the analysis and design of accounting information systems. |
