Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Appreciated the controls exherted by plate tectonic setting with respect to both magmatic and tectonic processes. Understood the use of trace element geochemistry in defining plate tectonic setting. A sound appreciation of processes operative at convergent plate settings. Understood the controls on extension in continental environments. |
