Syllabus:Paediatrics - normal parameters of growth and development. Evolutionary and genetic influences on the development of the child. Common structural and functional disorders affecting the foot and leg. Communication skills required for interaction with children and parents.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed a knowledge of the principles of paediatrics, growth and development of the foot. An understanding of common foot pathologies which affect children. Skills in communicating with children.
