Syllabus:An approved self-directed placement in accordance with World Federation of Occupational Therapists requirements. Integration of occupational therapy theoretical frameworks with the development of clinical and ethical reasoning and practical knowledge and skills in planning, assessments, interventions, communications, documentations, problem solving and management functions. Impact of learning styles and health beliefs on consumers.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this units students will be able to - Demonstrate self directed planning and problem solving skills applicable to occupational therapy practice. Integrate occupational therapy theoretical frameworks and practice skills througheffective clinical and ethical reasoning. Demonstrate skills in self-management and professional behaviours. Evaluate how learning styles and beliefs about health impact on consumers.
