Area: | Department of Chemical Engineering |
Credits: | 12.5 |
Contact Hours: | 3.0 |
Laboratory: | 1 x 3 Hours Weekly |
Syllabus: | Experiments demonstrating fundamental principles of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics. Integration of theory developed in fluid mechanics and thermodynamics with practical results. Data collection and analysis. Assessment of results obtained. Concise, accurate and timely reporting of results through formal reports. |
  |
Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to verify various theoretical concepts by simple experiments, critically analyse and report upon results. They will also have attained familiarity with the operation of laboratory scale chemical engineering equipment, be able to evaluate the performance characteristics and gained insight into the design and operation of such equipment. |
