Syllabus:Computer mediated interactive audio-visual communication. Techniques of generating meaning in audio visual design, concepts of interactivity in media design, range of media forms upon which new media relies, principles of audio visual project planning, design and implementation of computer based media. Practical project work involves the development of simple computer-based interactive presentation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Compared the communication potential of dynamic media with that of static media. Demonstrated basic knowledge and skills in audio-visual production using computer based techniques. Demonstrated anunderstanding of both passive and interactive multimedia as means of communication in a variety of contexts such as education, training, entertainment and cultural expression. Designed an appropriate solution to an original communication brief and applied it to a simple interactive presentation. Planned a simple production schedule. Completed the design and implementation.
