Syllabus: | Multi dimensional relationship of Aboriginal people with the land, the impact of British colonisation, Government policies and dispossession, the law of Native Title and associated economic, social and political issues. Exploration of ways of accommodating the legitimate aspirations of all Australians in relation to land. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- A strong appreciation of the significance of land in Aboriginal cultures. A sophisticated understanding of contemporary issues relating to native title law. An appreciation of how and why Aboriginal interests pertaining to land are relevant to business. |
