Syllabus: | A focus on the learner. Exploration of the influence of the teacher and the learning environment on learning. Planning for learning. Evaluation of learning. Catering for individual needs. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Considered the influence of the teacher role in planning and creating an informal learning environment. Planned and demonstrated teaching strategies which are appropriate for teacher directed activities with young children. Developed child study skills of observation appropriate for use in early childhood settings. Identified and discussed classroom management procedures for working with preschool children. |
