Syllabus:Concept of cultural heritage through exploration of the social/cultural history of Australia. A foundation for values education in the theory and values underpinning liberal democracy. Boundaries between political, public and moral values are examined and related to controversial social issues.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Increased general knowledge of the histories and cultures of Australia, including those of your local community and of Australian government and law. An appreciation of their role of a teacher ofAustralian cultural heritage/history and awareness of the educational resourcefulness of local communities.
