Syllabus: | Designing relevant curricula, programming and evaluation within an action research framework. Identification, description and application of advanced models of teaching. Management of alternative delivery modes and systems for managing students and/or groups with special needs. Integrating curriculum, instruction and evaluation of student learning outcomes. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated an understanding of curriculum planning, design, development and evaluation of instructional programs focussing on student learning outcomes in a range of curriculum learning area within the Western Australian curriculum frameworks. Designed comprehensive long term teaching and learning programs appropriate for implementation in a classroom context. Identified and used a variety of assessment, monitoring evaluation and record keepingstrategies and techniques appropriate for their teaching area. Demonstrated an understanding of action research processes by engaging in a teaching and learning project within a local school context. |
