Syllabus:Supervised practicum that meets the requirements of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists. Integration of occupational therapy theoretical frameworks with the development of clinical and ethical reasoning, and practical knowledge and skills in planning, assessments, interventions, communications, documentation and management functions. Reflection on learning styles and beliefs about health and how these impact on consumers.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Integrate occupational therapy theoretical frameworks and practice skills through effective clinical and ethical reasoning. Demonstrate skills in self-management and professional behaviours. Demonstrate practical knowledge and skills in planning, assessments, interventions and communications with clients and team members. Evaluate how learning styles and beliefs about health impact on consumers.
