Syllabus:The process of behavioural rehabilitation. Behavioural science principles application to mental illness. Personality disorders. Coping with dysfunction in communities across cultures. Analysis of issues related to research and treatment.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Recognised different mental health and illness perspectives. Discussed the influence of cultural and community environments on adaptations to dysfunction. Discussed the effect of the environment on individuals and communities experiencing mental dysfunction. Analysed research relevant to treatment and outcomes of mental illness.
