Syllabus: | Introduction to quantitative and qualitative methodology. Research process, measurement, statistics, data and analysis using software. Research ethics. Analysis of research reports as a consumer of research. Current issues and trends in nursing research. Application of research to nursing practice. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated skills as a consumer of research through the analysis of research studies. Used a statistical software package for data analysis. Applied beginning knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics in the analysis of data. Applied basic principles of research methodology to the study of a nursing problem. Appreciated current issues and trends in research and its application to nursing. |
