Syllabus: | Financial planning, sponsorship and fund raising, dealing with government agencies, reporting, grant applications, PR issues, copyright, contracts and legal issues relating to visual arts management. Information will be presented through the Internet anddiscussed via a chat-room established for students in the unit. Others with specific skills and information, such as arts law, will be invited to present information and join the discussion. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated fundamental, technical and conceptual skills in financial planning. Demonstrated skills in writing grant applications and developing fund raising and sponsorship proposals. Demonstrated knowledge of copyright issues, contracts and other legal issues relating to visual arts management. Demonstrated knowledge of conflict resolution strategies and interpersonal working strategies for team building, interviewing skills, networking and soon. Demonstrated an appropriate level of independent judgement, imagination and commitment to projects. |
