Syllabus:Designed to develop a research based enquiry into contemporary practice in Jewellery. Developing an understanding of the history of contemporary jewellery alongside contemporary art practice. The unit will be developed through lecturers, discussions, tutorials and workshops.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Developed an understanding of the breadth of contemporary Jewellery practice, developed an understanding of how a practice is maintained and grown. Conducted an investigation into the practice ofa contemporary jewellery artist, developed a body of work related to the processes used by the artist being studied.
