Syllabus: | This unit is designed to develop a research based enquiry into the history of both design and technical development in relation to the manufacture/making of Contemporary Jewellery. The unit will be developed through lectures, discussions, tutorials and workshops. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will have - knowledge and understanding of the history of jewellery throughout time, linkage of contemporary technique to its historical base through research and practice, Developed an understanding of theunderlying influence of history in contemporary practice and design related to jewellery. |
