Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Develop an understanding of the genre of the argumentative essay. Interpret directional words in essay titles and organise essays according to directional words. Develop confidence and competence in using a wide range of vocabulary appropriate to an academic style. Understand how to avoid plagiarism by developing sound referencing and quoting skills. Develop further the skill of proof-reading and editing their own work. Organise an argumentative essay or report of 2000-3000 words. |
