Syllabus: | Training in the Japanese Language aimed at increasing the communicative competence in all the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, and cultural knowledge associated with the topics dealt with. Further Kanji will be introduced. The style used is mainly the polite style with the addition of some colloquial style. Not available to students whose first language is Japanese. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit, students will have - The ability to talk, write and read about food, shopping, travel, and houses. The ability to express experiences, desire, opinions, purpose and decisions among others. The ability to do things such as giving directions and seeking and giving advice. Added approximately one hundred kanji to their knowledge. Gained some writing skills through travel guide, essay and letter writing. |
