Syllabus:A general introduction into contemporary culture. Examination of recent examples of popular literature, film or music and theories of modernism and postmodernism in relation to contemporary cultural practices.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have understood and addressed a diverse range of critical writings concerned with the modern and postmodern. Critically analysed cultural and historical materials.
