Syllabus:Encourages students to align conceptual development with the acquisition of traditional and contemporary skills across a range of visual arts media. Students will undertake a number of staff initiated projects specialisations within the visual arts whichinclude two to four of the following nine disciplines, but are not limited to fibre/textiles, ceramics, painting, print media, sculpture, jewellery/three dimensional design, electronic arts, audio visual installation and performance and photography.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- Demonstrated fundamental, technical, conceptual skills in tackling set projects across a wide range of visual art disciplines. Developed imaginative ideas from primary sources. Demonstrated an ability to exploit the physical and expressive potential of various materials. Effectively documented and presented ideas. Demonstrated an appropriate level of independent judgement, imagination and commitment to set projects.
