Syllabus:Development of broadcast journalism by focusing on public, community and commercial radio and television. The power and impact of talk radio and radio news is considered by developing professional skills in writing news, interviewing and editing for radio.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have- An understanding of the current framework within which broadcasting and broadcast journalism operates. Developed critical research and analytic skills. Established work practices which meet the critical and ethical standards expected of student journalists. Developed specific skills in scripting, interviewing and recording.
