Syllabus:The purposes, processes, problems and issues of internal and external consulting services. Topics covered include - the roles of internal and external consultants and clients and client groups, developing client consultant contracts and relationships, determining the services to be provided, marketing and promotion, legal aspects - tendering, pricing, time management and personal development and maintenance.
 
Unit Outcomes: At the end of this unit, students will have - Researched and analysed the tools, approaches and processes used to obtain consistent consulting work. Determined the advantages and disadvantages of consulting as a professional occupation. Explored a variety of issues that impact on success for the internal and external consultant.
