Syllabus:Development and expansion of professional and practical skills within a workplace situation. Practised in performing accident and incident investigations, assessing workplace injury and disease areas and risk assessments of various hazards. The student will be able to apply theoretical knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety in the workplace context.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will be able to - Demonstrate core skills and knowledge in OHS by achieving a series of outcomes as defined by the student in consultation with the tutor and the workplace assessor. Will be able to critically assess existing OHS practice and make recommendations for improvement. Will write a journal article at a standard suitable for publishing in a journal.
