Syllabus:Introduction to clinical research, managing clinical databases, evaluating change in performance, reliability and validity of clinical measures, presentation of data. Clinical versus statistical significance, prediction of outcomes. Diagnosis and testingclinical hypotheses. Biomechanics - body composition, centre of gravity, levers, patient handling techniques. Soft tissue manipulation. Electricity - safety, electrical fields, Ohm's law, resistance/impedance, AC/DC currents, depolarisation, rectification current types (interferential/high voltage), wave energy and ultrasound principles, inverse square law, cosine law, electromagnetic radiation.
