Syllabus:Masters project. The research investigation may be in any appropriate tutorial area in geographic information science provided it has the recommendation of a supervisor who is a member of staff in the Department of Spatial Sciences and the approval of the Head of Department. Students are expected to give a seminar to the class towards the end of semester.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have - Demonstrated the ability to undertake independent research in an area of the spatial sciences, utilised available sources of reference information to evaluate the current development status of their research area, planned, executed and evaluated independent research in the spatial sciences and communicated the outcomes of their research by written and oral means.
