Syllabus: | Brings together the major concepts, theories and models of business management and organisational behaviour. Seminar-based. Focusing on case studies requiring application of business and problem-solving strategies within the small to medium sized business context. Participants will work in groups to plan, implement and evaluate business strategies within the context of case studies, as well as identify problems and dysfunctional behaviour through the use of problem-solving models. |

Unit Assessment Breakdown: | Assignment (1) Individual case study - Atlantic Enterprises OR Individual presentation (15 minutes) on topic related to Unit Outline 30%. Assignment (2) Group (3-4) case study - XYZ Pty Ltd 50%. Assignment (3) Weekly commentary on readings and seminar participation 20%. This is by grade/mark assessment. |
