Syllabus:Examines the processes and practices contributing to performance of teams within an organisation and how these processes can be analysed and improved. Includes process mapping, flow charting, linking and integrating services and workflow, determining performance gaps, use of behavioural observation scales. Major group assignment to conduct a performance analysis on a real organisation.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit students will have- Conducted a performance analyses according to expert criteria (e.g. Rummler & Brache). Prepared an organization relationship and processed maps. Conducted a organization, task, person and/or environment analyses, as appropriate, to identify problems in organizations. Designed a Behavior Observation Scale (BOS) according to criteria provided. Collected relevant organizational data using interviews (individual, and/or group), process measures, questionnaires and observations.
