Syllabus: | Examination of the impact of gender on morbidity, mortality and quality of life, lifestyle factors, utilisation of health services, health service provision needs using a developmental model. National and state health and health research targets, goals and outcomes are identified and discussed. |

Unit Outcomes: | On successful completion of this unit students will be able to demonstrate - Understanding of the difference between sex and gender. Knowledge of the impact of gender on aetiology and health outcomes. Knowledge of gendered health priorities. |
