Syllabus:An exploratory review of the evolution and development of the human reproductive, cardiopulmonary and neurolocomotor systems. This includes elements of genetics, embryology, histology and pathophysiology and is followed by applied, functional, gross and microscopic investigations to meet the needs of the cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, developmental paediatrics, gerontology, neuroscience and continence and women's health specialisations.
 
Unit Outcomes: On successful completion of this unit, students will have - Discussed the evolution and development of the human reproductive, cardiopulmonary, and neurolocomotor systems. Applied the elements of genetics, embryology, histology and pathophysiology related to a clinical specialty area. Evaluated the microscopic and functional anatomy related to a clinical specialty area.
